Facial Toners: Are they Really Necessary?
Some dermatologists say that facial toning is a waste of time and money, while others suggest it is an optional step and certainly not necessary for healthy skin.
On the flip-side, the opinion of trained estheticians, who provide facial maintenance services to many skin types every day, is that a facial toner is absolutely, if not the, most important step of a beauty routine.
Esthetician training manuals also advise that facial toning enables a thorough cleansing of the skin and, if the product is well formulated, remarkably improving skin hydration – both benefits that can help prevent common complexion problems.

In days gone by, facial toners were reserved for strictly the oiliest of skin types and were often based on seriously moisture-stripping ingredients, like alcohol.

what is the best facial cleanser, toner, and moistuizer set?
I’m looking for a good recommended facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer set thats reasonably priced. I have light fair skin with freckles, and my face is generally combination, with light oilyness in my T-zone and light dryness in my cheeks. I’m looking for something that will even me out and help with aging. Thanks
i would say pro-active but its not cheap my mom bouught it for my bro for his birthday and wow she spent alout of moneyyou could try the tingle stuff from clean and clear thas wat i use
I ran out of Proactiv repairing lotion, what can I use as a substitute in the meantime?
I have been using the same set for nearly 2 months and my skin looks perfect now and it lasted longer than I expected (it was just a one month kit), I still have enough cleanser to last me maybe 2 weeks but I got to the end of my repairing lotion so I put some water in it to spread it out. Is this part absolutely necessary? I still have the cleanser, some toner and a good amount of the sulfur mask, which is great. I know I should have thought ahead, but I went to the mall today to buy more and they only had the $75 kits and I only brought $40 with me.
I have leftover Clean & Clear lotion that has salicylic acid, is that good? Or should I just use the three things I have and not mix with anything else? Thanks for any ideas : )
just use the clean and clear lotion, or go and buy the pro active repair lotion by itself, it’ll probably be a lot more expensive than when it’s in a set but it might be worth it as when some people stop using pro active their skin goes crazy. if you have acne you should go to a docter or dematoligist and see what they reccomend.
