How compatible is Windows 7 with an HP Pavilion dv5000 series laptop?
I am considering upgrading the OS for my HP Pavilion dv5000 series laptop from Windows XP to Windows 7, and was wondering how compatible it would be with my laptop. I’ve heard that it could run slowly, but am hoping that a RAM memory upgrade will help with that, since I’ve been considering doing so anyway.

heys my computer is a hp compaq dx2200 MT-EU and i am playing to buy a graphics card. probaly one in the nvidia 8 series. (8800 gt maybe ?).
but thing is i dont know if it is compatible. help please. my current graphics card ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series. If you need my model number just let me know.
Depends on whether or not you have a PCI E x16 graphics card slot. If you don’t, then no, it’s not compatible.
