Replacement Ink Jet Question
What causes, chronic, premature, print-head, failure, on an ink-jet printer?
My Hewlett Packard, D135 office jet, is experiencing chronic, black, print-head failure. The original print-head, and the first replacement, lasted about eighteen months each. The following two replacements, lasted a couple of weeks each.
Please note: Their has been a dramatic change in print head life, i.e., eighteen months to eighteen days.
Only genuine HP ink cartridges have been used in this printer.
The most common cause is from using remanufactured ink cartridges.
HP and a few other huge companies go through several purification processes that almost eliminate any impurities that may be in the ink. Remanufactured ink cartridges are cheaper, but are full of impurities that can easily clog your printhead.
