It depends how much RAM and Hard Drive Space you have on your computer, since (if the 1520 is anything like the 1525) you have the option at purchase to upsize the RAM and/or HDD. If you have 1GB RAM and 5GB Hard Drive Space available, you will have enough to run The Sims 2 and the most recent expansion Apartment Life.
Take a look at the System Requirements on the backs of the cases and compare to your system. I have all expansions and all stuff packs (except for 2 of them), with 4GB RAM and over 300GB Hard Drive Space, and I still get a little in-game lag (but it’s not unbearable).
