can I print an iron on transfer on a laser printer even if the pkg says to use ink jet?
I want to use a laser printer to print out iron on transfers, because the colors are more vibrant-will it affect the heat transfer? Is there any solid reason the ink jet should be used?
It will melt and ruin your printer.
There is a reason that they say for ink jet use. If they were suitable the makes would say as there would be extra sales in it for them but they know that it will melt in a laser printer, but you can buy ones suitable for lasers and that wont melt.
Does anyone know where I can buy photo quality paper that?
doesn’t have the makers name printed on the back of the sheets? If not photo paper then another paper that would give photo quality results.

Well this will be a little unbelievable but If your doing 8x10s I recommend the professional paper from Office Depot. I was using it for the test prints before I went to the “high quality paper”
Thing is I could never get the prints to look as good as the Office Depot paper. After accidentaly setting the paper on some high end paper I saw why. The whites were actually cleanner and brighter.
The down side is that it appears you cant get it larger than 8×10. It is possible that they stop making the Matt version in larger quantities.
