Do I have to buy Dell cartridges for my Dell printer?
I got a Dell Photo Printer 720 that came bundled with a Dell computer. I suspect that this printer might be made by another manufacturer and just have the Dell name on it (kind of like how Chrysler and Dodge are the same cars with different names). Is this true? If so, what manufacturer’s cartridges will work with my printer?
Dell’s printers are manufactured by Lexmark, but they do something slightly differently, so you cannot use Lexmark cartridges with them. Your best bet would be to get an inkjet refill kit, which allows you to fill the cartridge or a remanufactured cartridge, which you can readily find by searching for “inkjet refill” on Google.
Any problem with refilling Dell printer cartridges?
I have quite a few empty color and black cartridges and would love to refill them instead of buying new ones. Anyone have experience refilling the cartridges?
Yes i do have experience refilling cartigades . For the mot part they work . But if you have purchased your printer in the last year or so . I would tell you to look back at your printers Manuel. many manufacturers (cannon ,hp, some lexmark printers) are now putting smart chips in there ink cartridge’s that prevents you from printing from a refilled cartridge. Effectively making you a consumer slave because now you must buy ink from the. One last thing ,i do not recommend refilling cartridge’s that you have lying around that have been inactive from 2 months or so they could damaged and not work properly
