Dell Printer Cartridges M4646 Question
Dell Series 7 inkjet cartridges?
I have a dell photo 966 all in one. I’ve ordered rebuilt inkjet cartridges from two locations whom both say their cartridges are compatible. The black ones they send me are labeled as m4640, and color ones are m4646. My printer won’t use either one. They fit great, but the end where all the copper connectors are for the computer are laid out different.
Any ideals (other than sending cartridges back)???
I think the answer boils down to the part numbers you are giving.
I went to Dell’s site and did a search for m4640, it immediately came back that that was for a printer, I clicked the “inkjet / photo” selection and it came back with a list of all-in-ones and photo printers … with the 966 all-in-on but NOT the 966 photo printer.
Upon further investigation, I checked out a couple of cartridge packages with photo cartridge included for example and none of them came back with an m4640 part number.
These are the part numbers I found — CH883, CH884 and FH214.
I’m not certain, but I think the 883 is black, 884 is color, and 214 is photo-color.
