Canon Raw photo Recovery Tips
Canon camera uses the raw file CR2 and CRW for storing the digital images. The flash memory card used in the digital camera, that facilitates you to store up pictures, video and audio files with ease. Compact flash (CF), smart media, X-D Picture cards, secure digital cards (SD cards), mini and micro SD cards and multimedia cards (MMC) are various kinds of memory cards used in digital devices. These cards are widely used in portable devices such as PDAs, digital cameras, digital cell phones, handicams and camcorders. You can get back your precious photos lost from these memory cards using Canon Photo Recovery Tool.
Depending on the devices and applications the digital camera uses the raw file format to store the pictures. The benefit with raw files is it can be edited further and it gives better clarity. Formatting the memory card, hard drive or partition, deletion of photos, deletion of the drive in which you have saved data, and memory card corruption are some of the reasons for losing photos. However, losing photos is very hard and even then there is hope that you can recover pictures from memory card and hard drives using photo recovery software.
The read-only application, picture recovery utility is capable of scanning the computer hard drive and memory card to get back lost or deleted pictures. Recovery is quite simplewith raw image recoverysoftware, which is perfect and reliable software, which lets you to recover deleted photos, audio and video files. The software recovers not only the Canon Raw files, but also it supports recovery of other cameras raw files like Sony (SRF, SR2), Nikon (NEF), Minolta (MRW), and Olympus (ORF).

Canon Photo Question
How do you get to the photo effects menu on a Canon SD1300 SI is?
I just got a Canon SD 1300 SI digital camera and I want to know how to get to the Photo effects menu (i.e vivid, black& white, sepia etc), I looked in the manual and online and I still can’t find it. Help please!
I just downloaded the manual for your camera. Your answer is on page 72.
However, about applying any sort of effect in camera: DON’T DO IT !
Imagine if you just happen to take the best photo you ever took – surely you would want to have it in all its glory, right? People so often regret having only a b&w (or other effect) photo, and ask how to turn it back into colour, which of course is impossible to do.
Always set your camera to biggest size, best quality (and to color).
That way, you start with the best possible photo as your original.
Then you make a copy and edit it to your heart’s content.
You have much better control over any editing on your computer, even something as simple as b&w will look MUCH better when it was processed properly instead of in camera.
You can do all sorts of things to it PLUS you get to keep your original.
If you’re determined to ignore this advice and do it in camera, anyway, read the manual and/or the manufacturer’s website and/or your camera’s menu.
Will Canon compact photo printers work with Nikon digital cameras?
I’m interested in buying a Nikon D300 this week, but was very interested in using a Canon compact photo printer. I know most people’s first response will be to buy a Canon Camera, but I have about ten years of Nikon lenses that I’m not too keen to part with at a loss, so finding a portable printing solution is kind of foremost right now…thanks!
Actually, my first response is: You’re spending $$$ on a Nikon D300, only to ruin its images with an inkjet home printer?!
Real photo labs (including http://www.shutterfly.com/ ) were made for cameras like yours. Chemical processing, sharp images, any size under the sun. Doesn’t that sound nice?
That said, if the lab is closed and you need photos for a party that starts in ten minutes, then slightly blurry, easily scratched home prints may be your only possiblity.
So to answer your question: yes.
You should probably be able to connect your camera to the Canon printer directly. USB cords tend to pretty similar on that end. If not, the printer also has slots where you can directly insert your memory card. Both Nikon and Canon cameras tend to use SD or Compact Flash cards, depending on model.
EDIT: In fact, when I worked at the camera shop, customers bought Canon printers to use with any brand camera. And I’ve yet to hear of compatibility issues.
