Printer Problem?
Hi everyone
I have a brother MFC 640CW printer and worked well with my last laptop (toshiba), I had to buy a new laptop (hp) and It is driving me crazy I cannot get it to print. I have the USB cable connected from the laptop to the printer I also tried setting it up so that it would work wireless but it is not working any suggestions?
Oh I forgot to mention that I tried installing the CD that came with the printer but my laptop will not open it, it is as if the CD was blank, but I know it is not.
Does your new laptop run Vista? That might be the problem. Keep checking for driver updates, and it might start working again. I had that happen to my Dell printer. It stopped working after I installed Vista. About 3 months later I got a new driver from Microsoft and the printer started working again.
